We would love our 230 Chesterfield Champions to help spread the word over the coming months by sharing one or more of Destination Chesterfield‘s marketing activities.

You could help promote the town through your business and personal social media accounts. You could include information about Chesterfield and North Derbyshire on your internal communications, linking to the Chesterfield website from your business website. And of course, we’d love you to share via word of mouth.

Here are 5 ways you can support Destination Chesterfield to boost our town’s growing economy:

1. Encourage Investment in our town

We are heading towards the Chesterfield Investment Summit on Wednesday 6th November, organised by Destination Chesterfield and supported by We Are Spaces, Markham Vale and East Midlands Chamber. This year, the summit will focus on revitalising our town centres.

We would love your help in sharing this event with potential investors and key stakeholders in our town. Search #CIS24 to find the latest social media posts. Our business social media channels are on LinkedIn, Facebook and X. We’d love you to comment, like and share these to help increase our reach. You can also create your own posts and link to the Chesterfield Investment Summit page. Our photography library can be used to promote Chesterfield.

2. Share business support opportunities

We are passionate about helping local businesses to start and grow, whether that be providing events to engage with or showcasing funding and grants.

3. Showcase Chesterfield business events

As demand grows for business events, we encourage you to help spread the word about all Chesterfield events. Find our business event posts by searching simultaneously for #ChesterfieldEvents and #ChesterfieldBusiness. Comment on our social media posts via our business LinkedIn, Facebook and X accounts to boost our reach. You can also create your own posts and link to the Chesterfield events website. We are also working on a new business event section for the Chesterfield website to boost our marketing activities. As well as creating extra social media slots and testing LinkedIn newsletters to boost our reach.

4. Share experiences this summer in Chesterfield

The Summer in Chesterfield campaign celebrates our vibrant town and wider area with its many experiences to share. Search for #SummerInChesterfield to find the latest social media activities across our consumer Instagram, Facebook and X channels. Comment on our social media posts to boost the reach. You can also create your own posts and link to the Summer in Chesterfield website. Our photography library can be used to promote Chesterfield.

In addition, we are trialling a Tik Tok channel. As well as testing for the first short breaks marketing campaign.

5. Tell our town’s story through Chesterfield photography

Our photography library helps promote our town as a fantastic place to invest, work, live and visit. We thank all our Chesterfield Champions for volunteering their time to keep this updated regularly. Please do make use of the photography for non-commercial use. If there’s an image you’d like that you can’t see, please do ask as we’re likely to have something you can use to help showcase Chesterfield and North Derbyshire.
